EoS-Fans.com interviews the Underworld!

We are continuing our EFT interviews with an interview of the Underworld club. While it's not a French club, we have to focus on on a club that doesn’t hide its ambitions.

So, in this interview, be ready to discover Underworld's world, ambitions, point of view about some teams who are better than in the past and some others that are outsiders but risky.

After several of our meetings failed, we were all logged on yesterday evening and ready to talk about serious stuff! So, I went with my best Serbian accent to the meeting of the Underworld with two of its members: Amelia Sark, a player who is growing under the soft and cosy wing of Schwaba, the handyman of the team.
Let us see the summary of our meeting with two nice players, that happened actually in english


- First question I have to ask you is THE question that everyone is waiting for, because i've heard a lot of thing about it. Has your team finally received the GPS’ ?


Schwaba : Yes, after 6 months.

Amelia Sark : The guys in the club did, I wasn't there in the cup but I know they waited long until they got it ;p


- Now, more seriously, because my first question was in reality bad and not interesting... Can you introduce yourself? and if you can, I would like Schwaba to introduce Amelia, and Amelia to introduce Schwaba !


Amelia Sark : Be careful what you say! haha

Schwaba : Hahaha, go first then

Amelia Sark : I first met Schwaba during my fooball leveling. He trusted me along with the rest from the UW while I was low and he helped me improve a lot as a player to get where i am. He was a figure and role model for me. He's an excellent player, both in football and basketball, and I find it great that he doesn't hesitate to help players.


- Wow it's nearly a fairytale !

Schwaba : Thank you mejt, (funny way to say mate) but I have nothing to say about Amelia )

Amelia Sark : Haha

Schwaba : Amelia is a good defender and a good football player and is always pleasant to play with. For other sports, I can't judge because he rarely plays any; his obsession is football!

Amelia Sark : It's true! xD


- Why this obssession for football, Amelia ?


Amelia Sark : Well. During my playing in online games I think the greatest time is when you can play with others as a team. Football is the right sport in this game. Moreover, I don't like basketball, so there you got the rest figured!



- To know better both of you, last question on this part: who are you in real life ?


Amelia Sark : First, you can call me Nick. I don't mind anyone calling me with my first name. Gaming is more than a hobby for me, I've been playing pc games for 13 years now, 8 of them online. In online games, I am going for competition. I won't just play for fun if there's no way to prove myself in there.

Schwaba : I'm 38 years old, I'm married and have two daughters, both are professional athletes. I’m working as a football coach and still actively play futsal. I live in Serbia in a small town called Vranje, near the Macedonian border.



- Let's talk about your team now, what would you say if we wanted to know you better ?


Schwaba : Ladies first!

Amelia Sark : Haha ok. Well, Underworld is a nice club, we got some great players on all sports, especially good in tennis/basketball/football. The members are very easy to get on with as long as you care to do that. You also know us balkans are warm headed if we see something wrong we'll say it. Oh and the club haven't got only serbs in I have seen it a lot arround, but we have players from all balkans as well as Spain, France, etc...
When other players play fair with us we follow that. But if that doesn't apply there will be hell unleashed xD

Schwaba : Haha. Moreover, since we started using teamspeak, we improve a lot our game, the atmosphere is also different, depending on the results and opponents

Amelia Sark : We created a very fair atmosphere, we have grown into one family, and agree to assist each other in the game and beyond.



- So, can we say underworld is a family of warm headeds?


Amelia Sark : All balkans are family



- As Schwaba said, you improve a lot your game. Do you think your teamplay has changed with the new game version?


Amelia Sark : Underworld was always a team that was playing both in air & ground so teamwork already existed in great part. The teamplay of course comes with practice, but we focus more in implementing new ways of play in every match.



- About the EFT, a lot of players present you as one of the favorite teams. What do you think of this point of view?


Schwaba : We have a little problem with the team setups because we have many good players and some of them will not be able to play.

Amelia Sark : Yeah, that's true but I think we are in a position that a final game is not just the target here. With the set ups we're preparing, we are going well for a win. And we got some very good players in both attack and defence. And as the teams blend and of course practice, every day is bringing us a step closer to achieving it.



- So, will you make 2 teams ?


Schwaba : Yes, do you wanna know who will play?!!


- Sure I want !


Amelia Sark : Haha. I'm afraid we can't name our teams yet in public


- Oh ...



Amelia Sark : everyone will see the rosters once they're announced by EoS.



- But, we can't imagine a defense without Schwaba & Amelia Sark, can we ?



Schwaba : We have not yet decided who will play where yet. To be honest, I still don't know if I'll defend or attack.

Amelia Sark : That's true. You know i'm a defender, but Schwaba can fit in both sides of the field. And it's true we haven't yet conclued in which side he'll play. Personally I prefer him as a defender, but that's another topic

Schwaba : Lol. I know why he wants to play with me as a defender.



- I have my idea too but Why ?



Schwaba : Because he will have very little work when I am near him in defence.

Amelia Sark : Hehe yea. I feel very comfortable having him in my side in defence, I don't have to worry for mistakes. Moreover, he's excellent header & passer.



- Amelia, do you consider Schwaba as the best defender (and perhaps football player) of the game ?



Amelia Sark : While there's a couple of very good players you could pick from. I think Schwaba is a complete player. He's damn great in defence and equals that in attack. That's not easy to be done by someone, but he has achieved it. So, as a complete player, I think he is the best one.



Schwaba : Lol, thank you.

Amelia Sark : It's true big brotha



- Behind this strengh, are you afraid of any teams or not ?


Schwaba : There are good teams. I'm thinking about Elsan, Specialistes, Band of Brothers, Team francais. Joga is not bad too.

Amelia Sark : I am aware of two teams at the moment. I think Team Francais has advanced a lot during the last couple of months. And Specialistes have a really good chance too. For Band of Brothers, I can't say yet. While it's a very good team I think even with new additions in the roster they don't seem as fresh as they should.



- Are you not afraid about their superiority at the last EFT ?


Amelia Sark : Yes, they had a really solid team in all the previous EFTs. But I believe their presence while strong, won't be the same as previous competitions. I feel they are kind of worn off after this new version.



- There was a war on the official forum between pro-5v5 EFT and pro-7v7 EFT, what do you think about this debate ?


Schwaba : I prefer 5v5 but i think we would be as good on 7v7.

Amelia Sark : Personally I prefer 5v5. 7v7 is more challenging for sure and it would be great to have a competition like that more often. But EFT is widely known as 5v5 and changing it wouldn't be wise. It would be great if there was an offside in 5v5 matches, even as optional, so players would decide which version to play.



- So you would like to see a option between going on a match with offside and without ?


Amelia Sark : That would be great addition actually. I was planning to propose an optional offside soon and see reactions.



- So, now i think it will be my last question ...


Schwaba : I'm so happy !!!


- ... sorry it was long


Schwaba : I'm joking, np mejt



- What can we wish you for your future on this game? and if you want to add anything or send a message, let's go!
Moreover, if you want to comment the rumor about Schwaba's nickname "the tripod"?

(Schwaba look at Amelia who is laughing)

Schwaba : Hahahah, who gave me that nickname ?



- I've heard this ... my ears and my eyes are well open!


Amelia Sark : One by one xD First, we want to be wished successes as we'd wish that to the rest of the clubs in EOS. Secondly, I want to advice players to focus a lot on improving themselves after every match instead of blaming other stuff.
And about Schwaba, I gave you that nickname xD
It is rumored Schwaba is gifted by nature, I can't say more!
